Being established

What do people meant by being love? How does one be rooted or established? What good can come out of this? What's love really all about?

So much of this questions have been bothering me when I started going thru God's Word more and more everyday. I still m wanting to give my first period of time to God in the morning, even after my final exams have ended. During that time when I just started reading Corinthians 1. I actually learn about things that I have never knew about, questions that were still deep within myself. Probably I might have asked a few times, but being no avai to answers, I put it aside. Never believing that one day will come where I get to access those answers in God's own personal Words from the Bible.

Asking God, how do u love someone? something? It's never been easy, getting into arguments and conflicts when it doesn't need to go there. His word spoke to me what love was all about and one thing really hit me was about longsuffering a.k.a patience. That seem to be one thing I may lacked. People say I don't lack patience, but I lacked it so badly when it comes to petty response or even anything that just come about from my own family.

Love is sacrificial. Not out of emotion. It sure is possible that it starts to buds out of emotion, but what make it really last is the nature of it in the lifestyle that we live in. Putting others first, something that the world will never do. It has always been "ME FIRST" no matter how subtle it may have been. But my God said to be the first is to be the last. So to love meaning putting urself last in line, when it comes to giving and sometimes receiving. All this could just depend on the situation we may put ourselves in.

Today, as I attend Kingdom City at PJ, the sermon was about CONNECT. I was hooked to the word when the Scriptures were out. It was being rooted and established in love. What seem to be the benefit out of this? To be honest, I don't know.

Turns out it ended with "that we may have power "

When they place the word "power" it starts to get me thinking. Having the ability to be powerful, to be in power to bring about blessing and benefit to this broken and hurting world by just having a simple connection with God. By just being "connected"

We are made to connect with one another.

I have yet to figure out more of the word "Love".

p.s. its definitely not romance, what I am looking for but a way to serve His people with love and respect :)

Exam Syndrome

It's a vicious cycle of business to boredom..

It has always been like that ever since I set foot at UNITEN. Being an engineering student always have a very heavy downside when you are going thru that particular period of a student, be it the time of assessments, assignments, exams etc or even just taking a rest from the semester.

Can't say I looked forward to the aftermath of exams either. Well, there's much planning going on after finals but after going thru that much experience of boredom over and over and over again. I think I rather just appreciate where I am right now. At least I get to experience it with a good attitude and embrace the value of the days I have ahead of me.

Having my first paper in a week doesn't help me stay cool about my situation. At least the sense of urgency is already there. Just have to pick up the pace in my studying style and technique.

One obvious method that I just had the courage to pick up is making my computer go 'proof' while I revised my work. It was never easy staying away from my computer but when u r in the a midst of working, the wonders of being really into it just keep you going on and on provided there's nothing else in your mind that wants to take a rest ;)

Trial of endurance have to be overcome and excel in for the next 2 and half weeks. I am sure I can do it with God's help. Much more will be coming into the timeline up ahead after this finals. Wishing all my friends who are also in this period of examination ALL THE BEST.

Right now back to the books after seem to be a long time of being on the computer... To be exact an hour have passed since I hogged in this baby of mine :D

Dancing Workshop

I have always had this thought that dancing was the expression of the soul, how one feels or expresses from within outwards. Probably for some people, those thoughts can't come out as the thoughts that was visualized in the mind. Due to that, dancing technique that's portrayed comes out in a very disorderly manner. For example me, I tend to dance to my own to express myself when I am in the room alone, where no one sees me do so. But deep down I wanna do all those popping and like extravagant moves that can impress people too besides my personal time dancing wildly.

Many style of dancing out there, some suit, some don't. Went for a workshop today, out of the few dances that was available for learning for FREE, I picked 2 dances out of 4. Guess it was pretty obvious what I will choose if anyone would have looked at the types of dances being offered on the board. I picked Latin and Free styling. It was kinda fun if only I wouldn't have been so self conscious about my appearance of how I looked while dancing to the music (won't mention what was actually bothering me in my self conscious).

I did enjoy the Latin dance a lot though, only hope for more time...since being away from home for the weekend doesn't help making "attending classes" any easier.

As for now, can only look forward to finishing up this semester with BOMB in a good way.

Kit Kat Musical SHOCKWAVESSSS

That's right folks, the 1st Ever Youth Street Music Festival !!

Street Music do not seem very popular in this part of the world a.k.a Malaysia. So due to that, MYC wanted to be able to provide a platform and an opportunity to hone the many talents among the young people of Malaysia. One of it was giving them an opportunity to engage in music, dance, and generally in the showbiz industry.
the floor where the audience are

A competition was held quite a while back for the students of the local colleges and universities. So thru this event, 11 bands were selected to be of the top finalists and were part of this glamorous night tonight here at Jaya 1. Different style of playing that range from the most common musical instruments such as drums, guitar, keyboard up till the most creative type of sound producing instruments (percussion) were heard tonight. Different groups have different forms of attracting the audience, never once there was a dull moment during the competition.

Taylor's college music band

The audience tonight were really into the music that was performed on stage by every group there was. It was a lively scene to behold. I could see people dancing to some songs, or just being themselves expressing themselves thru minimum movements following the flow of the music. Some were moving around violently, jumping but I guess they too were into the songs that were played.

The deco that night featured a Christmas decoration, you could see snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, Santa Claus hanging from a pine tree branch, and many other colorful ornaments, with stage lights that were of different color bringing out the appearance of the stage giving the crowd and people around with a sense of excitement and suspense to see what's next.

The Mob!lers that night got to enjoy the food as well, pretty much sponsored by our host, MYC themselves. Very thankful for the meal that we get to taste. I personally never tasted food that's from Starbucks so tonight was my first and I am grateful for that. I got to try the Banana Chocolate cake, Chic O cheese, and a Peppermint Mocha Frappucino. The Banana cake has a rough texture on one side of it while I would say the overall has a soft appeal to my taste buds, while the Chic O cheese which consist of a puff together with a sausage wrap in between. It was a really enjoyable meal that I had, apart from the noisy background that we were in a.k.a the competition that was going on at that point (can't blame it on them since we wanted to review the event, so we had to choose a suitable spot to do so).

Apart from the bands that competed tonight at the event, there were other sides events that caught the attention of the crowd. Such were fire eating man, spontaneous dancing competition (participants from the crowd) and a rhythmic clapping competition also from the crowd. The crowd was a very spotting one as they were able to participate in those events really well, and in much enthusiasm.

I personally got involved in the dancing competition. The participants were given a song that they have to dance to, there were 3 girls and 3 guys. The MC hinted us that this was the most popular song at that point of time in the world, 890 million viewers and guess what? It was just cliches Gangnam Style. I wasn't ready to show off moves for it since I did not get into that Gangnam fever that was going at that time, so in other words I wasn't very interested to learn how to dance like someone who is riding on a horse. Anyway it turned out fun for me, although I didn't score much on the cheering part that comes from the audience.

So overall, being part of this event has been fun just listening and observing, at the same time enjoying much of the performance that was held that night. The food and and experience were great too. Priceless.

What's With Apps?

Truth be told, I was never really that interested to see all the types of apps in this world for the smartphone. Like no kidding, there are so many of the same kind of apps that make it so hard to decide which is the best to be used.

Not to mention that I have that perspective that apps of a phone were just toys in a phone. Something that people could play around with, without any real purpose or reason as to why they are created other than the thought of using it to fool around or just to kill time. Believe me, I didn't give much thought as to how an app was born out of creativity besides all that mumbo jumbo coding, programmings, flow charts, and algorithms that could have been involved to create it. The thought of all those things that pertained to computer codes tend to switch off the button that's on me.

I would say after attending this event, Samsung Appstar 2012. I gained a new perspective of what it was like for those to have come up with ideas for new apps. Although I have not been following up on the progress of those app creators for the last 5 months, but I am sure I start to understand that creating an app is not by sitting in front of a computer or even being isolated away from the world just to generate and bring forth a new idea.

Ideas of new apps in this ever evolving world of tech comes from our everyday lives. It seem fairly true that people are just getting very dependent on their gadgets, or their heads could have been too occupied up to the point of not being able to pay attention to certain chores that maybe insignificant but rather devastating if not being attended carefully. For example, locking up the car before leaving it, or even paying up utility bills monthly.

Due to all this forms of carelessness, new ideas have to be formed to BE that solution to the problem that is at hand. All that was presented at the event today by the contestants was not something new to them, rather familiar and closed to the heart of the creator (app creator). May I emphasized the "closed to the heart" phase.  This is because it is something that we face everyday that is a challenge. All this apps and ideas that were brought forth are ideas that could help the community live a better lifestyle without wasting too much time, or even getting certain things done right, or being protected in a very practical way in our everyday lives.

(Hint: those were the ones that winners for the Samsung Appstar 2012)

To wrap it up, I will start to look around for solutions that could be a lifestyle changing experience, and therefore I encourage that others should not take apps for granted, and ermmm.. contribute in anyway you can that you may play a role in the community in this modern era. I mean like seriously, there's so much that needed attention and a solution to it. Make A World A Better Place to be In.

Invitation to Samsung Mob!lers Bootcamp - Part 2

So as to continue~~

When MYC called me on Tuesday evening, I was actually in the middle of preparing for my mid term examination of a certain subject. I was actually excited about something else; I got my placement for internship at Shah Alam, which was really closed to home, a particular event that will have guaranteed a car for the next 3 months, not to mention a happy father due to the fact that his wish, and my indirect obedience to him actually came true.

So MYC calling me to inform me about this event actually brings up more excitement and anxiety within me. It was bothering me for a while since I did not know what event was this and what should I expect out of it, due to short term memory of that event that I participated so long ago. I couldn't give it much thought if I would go since I had to focus for that evening, ok I did badly as to conclude what happen during the test.

Due to indecisiveness, Ms Dennis gave me a day to make up my mind whether or not I would come for the event. That was really kind of her to do so. Some will have given it over to someone else. I must say it again this is a really precious and once in a lifetime opportunity for me to be involved in.

After a day of consideration (frankly speaking, did not even think about it, cause I barely knew what was the event about), Ms Dennis called me again to confirm my attendance for that day. I have to ask again and delay my confirmation to the next one hour. Since the decisions and finalization were supposed to be done on that day at 5 pm, I was only given that miserable one hour to decide the course of my life. I did have another event coming on that day, so I had to decide, not to mention bring another (few) friend on that day to the event will be another priority of mine.

Coincidentally, that one hour turned out to be one of my class hours. I was pretty much disturbed during class just thinking about who to call, and how to convince those who I planned to call. Finally decided that Dinesh should come with me, not because I decided he should but he was willing to accompany me there. I was glad that I call him along for the ride.

But seriously since MYC actually mentioned at least 2 friends, I was practically going nuts. All sorts of excuses came, tests, girlfriend, church, erm...and the list goes on. Some even mentioned "u want me to be a scapegoat is it?". That guy who said that, I think it's his lost for not coming, but then again not many will have wanted to be a writer, or anything gotta do with expressing themselves online.

So the day finally came, I did not expect anything, whether it would have been exciting or not (maybe I did but not something nice to have expect). Went down to fetch Dinesh and went for the event, good thing dad offered to fetch me there, although I did like to have drive there on my own. Reached there at 10 am. We were actually trying to decide where we needed to stop so that we could reach the event site. A map was offered together with the invitation (email) that came with it. Good thing I forwarded the email to Dinesh, or we might never have been able to reach our destination.

At the point of walking in and registering for our attendance,

to be continue~~

Samsung Mob!lers Event Invitation- Part 1

To be honest, I am very unsure what to say or where to even start writing about the topic that I just put up on the title section of this post.

found this picture on Mob!lers gallery :)
Yeah, I could say that I did not expect anything from Samsung Mob!lers and definitely did not expect this group will even give it a thought of calling me to get myself involved in this event. Like seriously, I don't even know the figures of people that got themselves sign up for this event. How many participants? A few will have been an understatement.

As I was pondering about what happen about a month ago when I first sign up for the event, it has nothing got to do with dreaming about even being chosen, as it was never possible for me to believe that out of so many people in any one contest or competition that I participated in, will I ever be able to catch the judges' eye. But in this event, Samsung Mob!lers Deputy Editor, Dennis Yu must have seen something special in me. I still do not know what is that 'thing' that shines in me yet. but I am very sure everyone of us have something special that we could share with the world.

So far that I heard, there were 2000 applicants that got themselves involved in this event. It could have been half heartedly, or even one with much expectations. I was definitely one that fits both the description that I came up with. Both half hearted when it comes to signing up for new events and probably another thought of having a slight glimpse of expectation of probably being able to have an impactful experience for myself.

I got to know about this event thru many of my friends who got themselves signed up and gotten hold of free choki choki chocolate that were given away at that period of time. I didn't plan to participate but someone got a hold of me, and being my submissive self, I obliged to get myself participated. Probably something good could come out of this. I do not know. There were quite a number of interesting promotions regarding this event if we get ourselves signed up. One of it was actually going overseas which definitely caught my eye and attention. Like I said, I love being able to be exposed to new things in new areas, countries whatever you call it.

Got myself signed up without expecting them ever to call me for anything up till a few days ago, which I did say a month plus later...

to be continued~~
