What was S4 about in my HEAD?

While having some ice cream not while ago, my mind suddenly started boggling with different things I wanted to talk about Galaxy S4. Many people first question to me when they first heard of me attending the launched was 'Did u get a new phone?'

I was 'no, i did not'. I mean y would I of all people to be given a new phone such as Galaxy S4. I already own S3 once upon a time and I am right now holding a note 2. So I bet its more than enough for me to tell as much as I did like to about this phone that's sooooo hot in the market right now, the flagship of the ter-awesome sangat Samsung Galaxy S4. Yes I do not deny that I was really excited when I first saw the phone, its specs and the promo for it and the list goes on. It looked so huge (something that I favor for a tablet or phone nowadays) and it makes my eyes sparkle the more I looked at it (no kidding).

When I talk about it, to be honest, I can't hold myself in a chair and like go gaga over it. It's practically just isn't normal for me unless it really gives me that deep sense of interest for such a gadget.

I got selected for the launched by MYC under the mobilers group and somehow when I got to see the real thing, I was like 'erm, it looks small' in my thoughts (that's becoz I hold a note 2).

But I would say I admired the phone so much bcoz of the extra features that it has in its software. I heard rumours that those features may be updated into S3 and Note 2. This got me pretty excited.

So as to share what in the world does this phone has that I admired soooo much, I wish it that I have it in my phone so badly though rumour said that it will only be out in May/June and let's hope that it's true. T_T

I won't sharing every single features that is new on the phone. So yea, ,my information ain't that complete after all.

first thing first, what I delighted so much is one of the camera features. It is known as the DUAL-CAMERA. Dual camera allows the person who is taking pictures to be part of the group as well. It may not seem realistic when being part of the group picture, but it allows the user to be remembered when it comes to bringing back memories thru the pictures that have been taken. Such examples I can use is the one that came from the first demo where S4 was launched down at New York. A dad has always been the one that took the pictures of the mom and the children and never really been part of the family photos that have been up on the walls at home. It felt like such a shame to not have daddy there. S4 makes it possible that daddy could be in those pictures when mommy and ah boy/girl is making a memorable statement.

What I love about S Translator was becoz of the multicultural and multi language country where I lived in. And it is not easy to actually get to learn that many languages as easily due to our interest and also the capacity of our minds. S Translator that connects from the Google database makes it so much easier to actually connect with people not only in my country based on my perspective, but as you are traveling, you meet people too all over the world who has different languages that u may want to connect with due to certain reasons but wasn't able to carry it out or technically just having a difficult time conversing to get details of needs at that point of time.

There's also the Smart Pause that goes for videos esp when someone needs to look away from the phone when he or she is watching a video as often without needing to press the pause button. The camera that is on the front of the phone will detect the face of the user as the user's face moves in and out of looking at the screen while watching his/her videos.

Group Play that was promoted had quite an interesting style of having fun as a group of 2 or more people esp those who owns an S3, Note 2 or a S4. Group play isn't something new in the market already, rather it was juz enhanced to be used on a higher platform, instead of just sharing medias such as videos, songs and pictures or documents of any kind. Group Play now has the ability to share speakers to play the same song, making that song an amplification over a number of phones that it is played on. Another way of having fun is having group competitions. One of which is the car racing games. I bet a lot of guys will find it at its convenience whenever they are up for a game among the dudes or dudets. :D

Air View/Air Gesture is an interesting change of lifestyle when it comes to phones. Although it's not new to the Note 2. But there are features like changing songs or just changing medias with a swipe of a hand. It just looks cool doing that and of course if it is as efficient as it is promoted, it could be a really handy feature for many of us out there. Especially when we r really crazy about just touching air and moving things into position. I really wonder how cool is that to do so. As for a Note 2, it is still limited to using a S Pen to do the cool tricks that S4 can do.

I wouldn't say there's much changes that I should be envy about when I see a S4 user.

But then again it is new and it always looks good when someone else holds the phone, not u! :D

p.s. I wouldn't deny that LTE version of S4 is gonna be a hit in the market, many are asking about it, I would advise those who are planning to get a S4 to be wise in their decisions :)

Samsung Mobilers App Launched BIG!!! Galaxy S4 incoming too!

Speaking of the excitement that looked in my heart awaiting the day that we will be invited for the launched. What caught me by surprised that night was more than just the app launched but it was the presence of most of the mobilers that I may have met during the booth camp itself.

Besides the usual buds that we normally meet during the last few gatherings, i have gotten to know many others. Names  as Rezza, Fatin, Joyce, and were the few that I have gotten to talk to personally at one of the tables when I first arrived at Frontera, a Mexican cuisine spot.

We had Loco and Jason Ko in the house that evening to serve as our creative and entertaining MCs.

There were few questions that kept me pondering when Jason Ko, our chief editor of MYC magazine laid on the table.

What is passion? What's the root word of it?

What is mobilers?

The word passion has many meanings of its own, one of which Jason chose to present was something that we have a strong desire for and it is something SUFFERED for. Noticed the word being capitalized, it was the word that he used very often during the presentation that evening.

As for mobilers, the tag line is as plain as it can get, though it stands out so well when it is presented, people in our generation wants to be seen, hear and be noticed.

"See it, Share it and Become famous"

As explained by Jason, Samsung Mobilers serves as a platform to share one's passions and a story to tell by everyone and anyone. He then shared his story of how he was interested in many things, one of the few was photography (very much into children due to difficulty level in photo taking), riding large motor cycles, and flying planes.

I loved how the pictures were arranged in such a way that it brought out a rough idea of his interest, it was done in such a way that his picture told a story of him, of his family and an overall view of his interest. Most of the pictures taken were from either Canada, or New York.

Dinner was swelled, Mexican cuisine on the house. It had that sourish feeling that hits your taste buds whenever you grab that bite, ate only a small portion due to dinner not being heavy and just food tasting for the night

Didn't get to go for the food early or even get any videos or pictures around after the presentation was done, was so hooked to the computer due to slow connection, reason : wanted to register as a mobiler online, one of the most exciting moments of the night, could barely sit in my chair when the presentation was carried out.

Thru the videos that were presented, i saw a number of familiar faces from uni and also from church, all of which are youths from different universities that I recognized. I also recognized the famous magician that night Zlwin Chew in one of the covers of MYC, it was just so cool getting to be part of this launched.

There were announcements about the Galaxy S4 competition and therefore some of these lucky ones will be given an opportunity to be part of this once in a lifetime launched!

After the presentation, there were challenges going around to win 20 GSC movie tickets, 10 Samsung Mobilers exclusive tee and 1 brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The highlights of the night were "Mother Father Gentlemen" dance and Gwiyomi.

They were really crazy challenges but fun to witness, wish I could have been there to snap a few shots and maybe recorded it. It was quite a waste not to have done so.

Finally the later part of the night came, where I got to wrap things up by interacting, talking to Jason and Summer there before I went home for the night. Talking to Jason was a privilege opportunity for me, wanting to make myself known as well as making a connection with him was just delightful.

Jason either joking or for real asked me to walk summer to her car, which I happily obliged, and I think I was glad that I followed her due to very expected encounters, not gonna reveal what happen so no assumptions needed.

Drove home for the night and awaiting my next idea on how should I post up on s4 "creative" post.

Got a number of awesome stuff that night, summary

~Took a picture with awesome Jason Ko, Denise Yu and Summer.
~took back exclusive Samsung Mobilers tee
~made new friends
~getting all excited about everything that has gotta do with it.

I think that wrapped it all up for the night. What do u think? Awesome? I don't know

But what I know things will definitely be a roller coaster ride in this baby!

What's it like to be a TRUE FRIEND?

Have anyone ever thought what is it mean to actually be a friend to another person?

Well, there are 5 ways or more that is learn of to be a good friend to another. There more, no kidding but I will have to focus on the ideas I have at this point of time.

firstly, being Honest!
when I meant being honest, it means that someone shouldn't put on something you called a fake front, generally being a FAKER, it's just not cool being that. Nobody will ever know who you really are down there and it will just make others distant themselves from that kind of person namely YOU. You especially wouldn't want those of your close friends and family members to do something like that since it will hurt you badly unless you don't have feelings. :P

secondly, have SINCERITY as a friend!
hmmm how should I start with?
I guess people will tend to try to understand something that most of the time, they DON'T
so if someone needs a ear, might as well be that ear, and don't be the mouth, or else you might be shut off.
Besides that, people often "helped out" out of guilt, sympathy, or some other reasons that don't associate themselves by being a friend. If you do not want to do it, it's fine, just try to be sincere about it.

thirdly, be forgiving to your friend,
being a friend meant sometimes, we have to expect disappointment because all I can say is that no one is perfect like Jesus is, and people will tend to bring disappointment to us every now and then.
EXPECT TO BE DISAPPOINTED

fourth, learning together with one another
hmmm learning about life purposes with one another, and learn more about each other as friends normally do , because I believed that no one will ever stay the same as he or she is in the present. This goes to the same to BGRs and married couples.

fifth, encourage one another
Have we ever learn to be our friend's best cheerleaders in life?
Never be afraid to support our friends in the decisions that they make. This is not just about being there when they are happy but also being there when they are down. People around us namely friends need our encouragement, as they are also humans and may not be able to to handle their problems on their own.

Anyway, this post was supposed to be up for like a long time already but due to time constraint and I wasn't in the ability to post this up, it sort of dragged on till today.

Being established

What do people meant by being love? How does one be rooted or established? What good can come out of this? What's love really all about?

So much of this questions have been bothering me when I started going thru God's Word more and more everyday. I still m wanting to give my first period of time to God in the morning, even after my final exams have ended. During that time when I just started reading Corinthians 1. I actually learn about things that I have never knew about, questions that were still deep within myself. Probably I might have asked a few times, but being no avai to answers, I put it aside. Never believing that one day will come where I get to access those answers in God's own personal Words from the Bible.

Asking God, how do u love someone? something? It's never been easy, getting into arguments and conflicts when it doesn't need to go there. His word spoke to me what love was all about and one thing really hit me was about longsuffering a.k.a patience. That seem to be one thing I may lacked. People say I don't lack patience, but I lacked it so badly when it comes to petty response or even anything that just come about from my own family.

Love is sacrificial. Not out of emotion. It sure is possible that it starts to buds out of emotion, but what make it really last is the nature of it in the lifestyle that we live in. Putting others first, something that the world will never do. It has always been "ME FIRST" no matter how subtle it may have been. But my God said to be the first is to be the last. So to love meaning putting urself last in line, when it comes to giving and sometimes receiving. All this could just depend on the situation we may put ourselves in.

Today, as I attend Kingdom City at PJ, the sermon was about CONNECT. I was hooked to the word when the Scriptures were out. It was being rooted and established in love. What seem to be the benefit out of this? To be honest, I don't know.

Turns out it ended with "that we may have power "

When they place the word "power" it starts to get me thinking. Having the ability to be powerful, to be in power to bring about blessing and benefit to this broken and hurting world by just having a simple connection with God. By just being "connected"

We are made to connect with one another.

I have yet to figure out more of the word "Love".

p.s. its definitely not romance, what I am looking for but a way to serve His people with love and respect :)

Exam Syndrome

It's a vicious cycle of business to boredom..

It has always been like that ever since I set foot at UNITEN. Being an engineering student always have a very heavy downside when you are going thru that particular period of a student, be it the time of assessments, assignments, exams etc or even just taking a rest from the semester.

Can't say I looked forward to the aftermath of exams either. Well, there's much planning going on after finals but after going thru that much experience of boredom over and over and over again. I think I rather just appreciate where I am right now. At least I get to experience it with a good attitude and embrace the value of the days I have ahead of me.

Having my first paper in a week doesn't help me stay cool about my situation. At least the sense of urgency is already there. Just have to pick up the pace in my studying style and technique.

One obvious method that I just had the courage to pick up is making my computer go 'proof' while I revised my work. It was never easy staying away from my computer but when u r in the a midst of working, the wonders of being really into it just keep you going on and on provided there's nothing else in your mind that wants to take a rest ;)

Trial of endurance have to be overcome and excel in for the next 2 and half weeks. I am sure I can do it with God's help. Much more will be coming into the timeline up ahead after this finals. Wishing all my friends who are also in this period of examination ALL THE BEST.

Right now back to the books after seem to be a long time of being on the computer... To be exact an hour have passed since I hogged in this baby of mine :D

Dancing Workshop

I have always had this thought that dancing was the expression of the soul, how one feels or expresses from within outwards. Probably for some people, those thoughts can't come out as the thoughts that was visualized in the mind. Due to that, dancing technique that's portrayed comes out in a very disorderly manner. For example me, I tend to dance to my own to express myself when I am in the room alone, where no one sees me do so. But deep down I wanna do all those popping and like extravagant moves that can impress people too besides my personal time dancing wildly.

Many style of dancing out there, some suit, some don't. Went for a workshop today, out of the few dances that was available for learning for FREE, I picked 2 dances out of 4. Guess it was pretty obvious what I will choose if anyone would have looked at the types of dances being offered on the board. I picked Latin and Free styling. It was kinda fun if only I wouldn't have been so self conscious about my appearance of how I looked while dancing to the music (won't mention what was actually bothering me in my self conscious).

I did enjoy the Latin dance a lot though, only hope for more time...since being away from home for the weekend doesn't help making "attending classes" any easier.

As for now, can only look forward to finishing up this semester with BOMB in a good way.

Kit Kat Musical SHOCKWAVESSSS

That's right folks, the 1st Ever Youth Street Music Festival !!

Street Music do not seem very popular in this part of the world a.k.a Malaysia. So due to that, MYC wanted to be able to provide a platform and an opportunity to hone the many talents among the young people of Malaysia. One of it was giving them an opportunity to engage in music, dance, and generally in the showbiz industry.
the floor where the audience are

A competition was held quite a while back for the students of the local colleges and universities. So thru this event, 11 bands were selected to be of the top finalists and were part of this glamorous night tonight here at Jaya 1. Different style of playing that range from the most common musical instruments such as drums, guitar, keyboard up till the most creative type of sound producing instruments (percussion) were heard tonight. Different groups have different forms of attracting the audience, never once there was a dull moment during the competition.

Taylor's college music band

The audience tonight were really into the music that was performed on stage by every group there was. It was a lively scene to behold. I could see people dancing to some songs, or just being themselves expressing themselves thru minimum movements following the flow of the music. Some were moving around violently, jumping but I guess they too were into the songs that were played.

The deco that night featured a Christmas decoration, you could see snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, Santa Claus hanging from a pine tree branch, and many other colorful ornaments, with stage lights that were of different color bringing out the appearance of the stage giving the crowd and people around with a sense of excitement and suspense to see what's next.

The Mob!lers that night got to enjoy the food as well, pretty much sponsored by our host, MYC themselves. Very thankful for the meal that we get to taste. I personally never tasted food that's from Starbucks so tonight was my first and I am grateful for that. I got to try the Banana Chocolate cake, Chic O cheese, and a Peppermint Mocha Frappucino. The Banana cake has a rough texture on one side of it while I would say the overall has a soft appeal to my taste buds, while the Chic O cheese which consist of a puff together with a sausage wrap in between. It was a really enjoyable meal that I had, apart from the noisy background that we were in a.k.a the competition that was going on at that point (can't blame it on them since we wanted to review the event, so we had to choose a suitable spot to do so).

Apart from the bands that competed tonight at the event, there were other sides events that caught the attention of the crowd. Such were fire eating man, spontaneous dancing competition (participants from the crowd) and a rhythmic clapping competition also from the crowd. The crowd was a very spotting one as they were able to participate in those events really well, and in much enthusiasm.

I personally got involved in the dancing competition. The participants were given a song that they have to dance to, there were 3 girls and 3 guys. The MC hinted us that this was the most popular song at that point of time in the world, 890 million viewers and guess what? It was just cliches Gangnam Style. I wasn't ready to show off moves for it since I did not get into that Gangnam fever that was going at that time, so in other words I wasn't very interested to learn how to dance like someone who is riding on a horse. Anyway it turned out fun for me, although I didn't score much on the cheering part that comes from the audience.

So overall, being part of this event has been fun just listening and observing, at the same time enjoying much of the performance that was held that night. The food and and experience were great too. Priceless.
