Truth be told, I was never really that interested to see all the types of apps in this world for the smartphone. Like no kidding, there are so many of the same kind of apps that make it so hard to decide which is the best to be used.
Not to mention that I have that perspective that apps of a phone were just toys in a phone. Something that people could play around with, without any real purpose or reason as to why they are created other than the thought of using it to fool around or just to kill time. Believe me, I didn't give much thought as to how an app was born out of creativity besides all that mumbo jumbo coding, programmings, flow charts, and algorithms that could have been involved to create it. The thought of all those things that pertained to computer codes tend to switch off the button that's on me.
I would say after attending this event, Samsung Appstar 2012. I gained a new perspective of what it was like for those to have come up with ideas for new apps. Although I have not been following up on the progress of those app creators for the last 5 months, but I am sure I start to understand that creating an app is not by sitting in front of a computer or even being isolated away from the world just to generate and bring forth a new idea.
Ideas of new apps in this ever evolving world of tech comes from our everyday lives. It seem fairly true that people are just getting very dependent on their gadgets, or their heads could have been too occupied up to the point of not being able to pay attention to certain chores that maybe insignificant but rather devastating if not being attended carefully. For example, locking up the car before leaving it, or even paying up utility bills monthly.
Due to all this forms of carelessness, new ideas have to be formed to BE that solution to the problem that is at hand. All that was presented at the event today by the contestants was not something new to them, rather familiar and closed to the heart of the creator (app creator). May I emphasized the "closed to the heart" phase. This is because it is something that we face everyday that is a challenge. All this apps and ideas that were brought forth are ideas that could help the community live a better lifestyle without wasting too much time, or even getting certain things done right, or being protected in a very practical way in our everyday lives.
(Hint: those were the ones that winners for the Samsung Appstar 2012)
To wrap it up, I will start to look around for solutions that could be a lifestyle changing experience, and therefore I encourage that others should not take apps for granted, and ermmm.. contribute in anyway you can that you may play a role in the community in this modern era. I mean like seriously, there's so much that needed attention and a solution to it. Make A World A Better Place to be In.

Invitation to Samsung Mob!lers Bootcamp - Part 2
So as to continue~~
When MYC called me on Tuesday evening, I was actually in the middle of preparing for my mid term examination of a certain subject. I was actually excited about something else; I got my placement for internship at Shah Alam, which was really closed to home, a particular event that will have guaranteed a car for the next 3 months, not to mention a happy father due to the fact that his wish, and my indirect obedience to him actually came true.
So MYC calling me to inform me about this event actually brings up more excitement and anxiety within me. It was bothering me for a while since I did not know what event was this and what should I expect out of it, due to short term memory of that event that I participated so long ago. I couldn't give it much thought if I would go since I had to focus for that evening, ok I did badly as to conclude what happen during the test.
Due to indecisiveness, Ms Dennis gave me a day to make up my mind whether or not I would come for the event. That was really kind of her to do so. Some will have given it over to someone else. I must say it again this is a really precious and once in a lifetime opportunity for me to be involved in.
After a day of consideration (frankly speaking, did not even think about it, cause I barely knew what was the event about), Ms Dennis called me again to confirm my attendance for that day. I have to ask again and delay my confirmation to the next one hour. Since the decisions and finalization were supposed to be done on that day at 5 pm, I was only given that miserable one hour to decide the course of my life. I did have another event coming on that day, so I had to decide, not to mention bring another (few) friend on that day to the event will be another priority of mine.
Coincidentally, that one hour turned out to be one of my class hours. I was pretty much disturbed during class just thinking about who to call, and how to convince those who I planned to call. Finally decided that Dinesh should come with me, not because I decided he should but he was willing to accompany me there. I was glad that I call him along for the ride.
But seriously since MYC actually mentioned at least 2 friends, I was practically going nuts. All sorts of excuses came, tests, girlfriend, church, erm...and the list goes on. Some even mentioned "u want me to be a scapegoat is it?". That guy who said that, I think it's his lost for not coming, but then again not many will have wanted to be a writer, or anything gotta do with expressing themselves online.
So the day finally came, I did not expect anything, whether it would have been exciting or not (maybe I did but not something nice to have expect). Went down to fetch Dinesh and went for the event, good thing dad offered to fetch me there, although I did like to have drive there on my own. Reached there at 10 am. We were actually trying to decide where we needed to stop so that we could reach the event site. A map was offered together with the invitation (email) that came with it. Good thing I forwarded the email to Dinesh, or we might never have been able to reach our destination.
At the point of walking in and registering for our attendance,

Samsung Mob!lers Event Invitation- Part 1
To be honest, I am very unsure what to say or where to even start writing about the topic that I just put up on the title section of this post.
Yeah, I could say that I did not expect anything from Samsung Mob!lers and definitely did not expect this group will even give it a thought of calling me to get myself involved in this event. Like seriously, I don't even know the figures of people that got themselves sign up for this event. How many participants? A few will have been an understatement.
As I was pondering about what happen about a month ago when I first sign up for the event, it has nothing got to do with dreaming about even being chosen, as it was never possible for me to believe that out of so many people in any one contest or competition that I participated in, will I ever be able to catch the judges' eye. But in this event, Samsung Mob!lers Deputy Editor, Dennis Yu must have seen something special in me. I still do not know what is that 'thing' that shines in me yet. but I am very sure everyone of us have something special that we could share with the world.
So far that I heard, there were 2000 applicants that got themselves involved in this event. It could have been half heartedly, or even one with much expectations. I was definitely one that fits both the description that I came up with. Both half hearted when it comes to signing up for new events and probably another thought of having a slight glimpse of expectation of probably being able to have an impactful experience for myself.
I got to know about this event thru many of my friends who got themselves signed up and gotten hold of free choki choki chocolate that were given away at that period of time. I didn't plan to participate but someone got a hold of me, and being my submissive self, I obliged to get myself participated. Probably something good could come out of this. I do not know. There were quite a number of interesting promotions regarding this event if we get ourselves signed up. One of it was actually going overseas which definitely caught my eye and attention. Like I said, I love being able to be exposed to new things in new areas, countries whatever you call it.
Got myself signed up without expecting them ever to call me for anything up till a few days ago, which I did say a month plus later...
