Being in the amidst of uncertainty and there God was...~~

Just wanted to share of a wonderful testimony that reminds me to trust God in the most unforseen circumstances in the world. It has been quite a hectic few weeks that consists of rushing of thesis as well as finishing assignments and also wrapping up a some final papers before I get to leave uni life for good.

Planetshakers conference and concert was around the corner...

In the last few weeks leading up to it, I was pretty positive that I wouldn't even think of going for the concert, but I was pretty mistaken. As the concert came closer week by week, day by day... I was only thinking about finishing my exams and finally my thesis, freedom was on my own mind. That's all I could think of during that period of time about how I am gonna struggle with thesis and the tight schedule that follows.

Since the conference and the concert was a 3 days 3 nights thing, I was very much bombarded with news on facebook in regards to how awesome the conference really was. As for the concert, I have already knew how awesome it was through the sound of it, through the Youtube videos I have watch through the last few years when I was a new Christian growing at a local church. I was pretty crazy about it but as time went by, the fire and craziness start to die down.

So you can say that this concert came in at a time when I was pretty close to being ignorant about how I personally felt about Christian concerts and evangelistic events.

Anyway, back to the story...

I was starting to have a very indecisive train of thought where I was laying out the pros and cons of attending the concert, and how much everything will cost me that night just to go out there and enjoy myself. I finally decided that I couldn't make that decision on my own. It was then when I decided to pop God a random question..
what do You think? should I go for the concert? You make that decision for me
After that, I just decided to randomly place a statement on facebook to get some replies or at least rant my indecisive yet frustrating train of thought to the world. Lo and behold, a course mate of mine decided to pop in and ask if I will be making a trip down to the concert. I was then being my indecisive self and just told him yes, I am...

And then down in my heart, I was like dude, someone made that decision for you already, why not just take that decision and go for it.

Then, I actually planned it all out with him about going down to PJ where the concert will be held. It never once cross my mind that God was behind all of this from the beginning itself. After that, as I was late in getting back from my workplace, I decided to grab Mcd and I was pretty much in a rush.

When I got to the meeting spot where I was supposed to meet my friend and I was pretty late when I got there. He was nowhere to be found...and I started munching on my already cold chicken burger and just sucking furiously at the straw, but I was like well, I was in a very fortunate state where I did not need to drive down to the concert venue with an empty stomach. My friend actually got to the meeting spot 15 mins after I got there which gave me lots of time to finish my meal.

Drove down and guess what, found a parking spot next to the church, no traffic jam on the highway so we reached there at a fair travelling time. While it was believe to be lucky or people would say luck being on our side, I think that's probably more than just luck. Luck don't come at you over and over again just on that very fine day. It was definitely God at work calling me out at the right time to the right place.

Came down and join the overflowing line already at the church where we were finally place in the "overflowing" room where I believe it was just gonna be a telecast session while the real thing is happening down at the main auditorium. I decided to try my luck when the concert started, by sneaking out of the room and down to the main hall. I just pop in a random question again to one of the ushers there
is the hall really packed already?
She just said yes but went on and asked me if I would like to go in, since there will be one more spot left in the upper part of the main hall. Without thinking, I just said yes and went in. I was so excited that I broke into a run on the way up the stairs. I really did enjoy myself that night with all the songs that blasted through my soul.

Being able to stay positive through the whole session from the beginning leading up to the night was the best thing that ever happened to me. But my point here was just trusting God, not worrying what will happen next... to be honest, it never slip my mind that I will even be praising God in the main hall that night. Everything have been so random to the point that I wasn't even sure where to start.

The night was truly remarkable, and I don't think I regret going, or missing any part of it in the nights before.. Because I could continue to praise and worship my wonderful and faithful Creator, Saviour and Friend wherever I may go through the days of my life

Chat ON finally became THE Famous!

When u think there's not enough of interactive chatting apps around, here comes Chat ON!

Chat ON brings messaging and online interaction to a whole new level, not to mention the uniqueness of each individual's theme, the app has different themes customized on them to make it unique for each user.

I was invited to join the launch for the newly celebrated Chat ON last Friday. To be honest, orange wasn't one color that stands out in my closet. Best thing to do was shopping for new clothing with new colors. Back to the story, I was greeted with very cheerful laughs and sound when I first reached the venue which was at Butter Factory Club KL.

The thing that greeted my eyes that pleases me a lot was a Starbucks truck standing directly outside the club. The best part of the whole scene when I was outside was free Starbucks for all who have registered for the event. I came under MYC naturally as a Mobiler. Got a cute sticker to mark myself as Chat ON territory (just kidding).

Going on with the club entrance, there were Chat ON ambassadors there that were holding brand new Samsung phones, all pre installed with Chat ON app on them ready to be shown to the public what this baby can really do.

I first saw one of the features shown which was very much different from many of the messaging app that I knew. One of which was Real Time Drawing. It was something that you could do to actually be creative as a user or a sender. Here is a drawing of which I could express more about this feature.

There's also emoticons that Chat ON specially names as Anicons, they are the cutest things I will ever see as emoticons and I have hard copies of it as stickers, part of the freebies that I received in the bag that was given upon registration. The Anicons is another way of expressing one self as it always have been to keep the conversation interesting, not dull or monotonous with just words all over the messaging app.

Here are the pictures of how the Anicons looked like.

Besides the Anicons, there are also much expressive fonts that are available on the app giving it a full wave of variety to express oneself better. It also gives the app a platform to be interesting rather than dull.

Being able to express oneself thru these features while interacting makes our thoughts and feelings dynamic and it also gives our conversation a sort of flow that can make life fun and lively.

To add on to Chat ON, the app doesn't just have the traditional calls and messaging abilities. The app also has the ability to conduct a video call in real time face to face making it a wonderful experience interacting with friends and family wherever you are.

Chatting with friends in 2 or more languages have never became any easier on Chat ON. Chat ON gives the user the ability to translate from one language to another via the auto translation function. This can also be done by tap and hold a speech bubble to translate messages instantly. This has become quite the solution to communicate with friends all around the world and given this opportunity, the world is now at our finger tips by given this ability to do so.

There's also a feature known as the trunk on Chat ON, giving the user a space where searching for shared material, such as audio, images or even video gets easier. The accessibility in the app makes it really easy to share and re share moments and materials again and again without giving much difficulty in sharing with other users.

Chat ON celebrates friendship and comradeship. This was clearly shown thru the partnership with third party vendors giving the user opportunities to be informed about new promotions and products by just adding the pages as "special buddies". For example, when Starbucks is added as a friend, it automatically sends out ongoing promotions or new products that are on the shelf at Starbucks. This keeps the fans updated about new things going on with various products giving us the heads up thru this app.

Chat ON gives a really a whole new way of interacting with the world. With its cute, unique, and many functions/features, users of all ages are able to experience a really enjoyable way of messaging and interacting with other people in this modern world.

The Real Story of Christmas

Have it always been snowing, laughter, bells ringing and Santa Claus or even Jesus being born into such a happy environment? Think again..

I was at a Christian fellowship with my other fellow students on campus listening to the talk about repentance given by Rev. Pax Tan.

What caught my attention and thoughts for the night was merely about the life of Jesus and how He came as God and also as man to identify with people lower than u and I. When I say this, it has to show the humility in all of this and it ain't just about having no money but more negative that the world would normally have rejected "it" among them.

What I was referring to were the poor, the rejects, those who don't smell the same as everyone else, the bastards, prostitutes, loan sharks, prisoners, refugees, those have are different and ain't accepted in general by the community. Jesus came to live among us, that's y He was known as Immanuel, which meant God with us, man of this world.

He was born in such an environment where u would not ever believe how scandalous the situation was. I never thought of this story in that manner, I have always thought that Jesus was born in such and such a place but things like sleeping around and getting impregnated, smell like animals, being a true disgrace, and the whole story was a fraud. It was so saddening and there's much negative emotions revolving around His birth. And yet many failed to see this and still sings "Joy to the World" approaching Christmas when all it truly was on earth was anger, disappointment, sadness, betrayal, jealousy, lies, gossips and things as such rather than what everyone thought it is, let's see, happiness, laughter, joy, magic, comfy, warm, 5 star hotel, a luxurious place of birth for the little king.

We were challenge to ask is this an accident or was it all planned that he will be given birth to in a manger (place where animals have their meals). Being the King of kings, the only begotten Son of God, I can't imagine someone like that to even be born in a place of such as the manger. Any earthly parents would never have done something like that to their children, don't u think so?

Nevertheless, for that have been spoken, i have really been very blessed by the message he has to share with the students of our Christian fellowship. It is always important to have revelations of then Word every now and then and I believed that night, we did! Praise unto God

I hope all of you are blessed or inspired by this sharing.

P. S. Sorry for the profanity used in the context.

World War Z on MY Smart Stay Samsung Galaxy Note 2!

World War Z trailer thru the screen of my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was despicably great for its continuous

display using Smart Stay mode, it's one great feature that both Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 have that gives

the user a sense of comfort when watching great scenes through the phone without being interrupted or cut

off especially thru the jammed pack action scenes of zombies flowing thru each scene of the movie, the

horror and thrill that each scene has to offer there

Being selected to attend the Samsung GALAXY S4 roadshow!

That evening right after class was announced to be canceled at COE, Uniten, I got this phone call from Samsung Mobilers at MYC.

As always that call gives me a sense of an overwhelming excitement. I was right to be so excited about the call, this is because I was selected to be one of the Samsung Mobiler Writers that rides in the pilot team, or also known as the pilot test group. I am grateful for being selected again as part of another pilot team in Samsung Mobilers under MYC

This has given me a head start in being expose to a smaller group working on a similar project as well as having the opportunity to be familiar with the system before the system is open up to the public.

OK, back to my story. After being brief about this pilot test group, we were given our first assignment which was at Taylors Lakeside Campus the next day.

A roadshow for Samsung devices took place at the campus that morning and among the 5 that were present during the briefing, me and Summer decided to go for the roadshow to carry out the first part of the assignment (there's part 1 and 2 in it). Part 1 was to get ourselves a video shoot session with our pro videographer Gary! While part 2 was an assignment for those who couldn't make it to the roadshow that morning.

Made it to the roadshow that morning almost afternoon in a hurry due to bad transportation schedule.

Devices on the table (Samsung Galaxy 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy S4)

The Samsung Galaxy S4 was left on the table waiting to be tested out by curious passer by. I was just as excited to be able to find myself playing the phone in front of the camera. Took some time figuring out the features and everything on the phone should be at.

Samsung Galaxy S4 has some cool features:
  • Drama Shot
  • Sound and Shot
  • Dual Camera
  • Group Play
So I got to try every new feature that the phone has to offer on the spot with the widest grin on my face. I could never stop smiling from the time Samsung Galaxy S4 was shown and explained to me by an ambassador at the roadshow that morning.

The first feature that I tried out was Drama Shot. It was a new feature that allows the object to be shot at different times during an act. I shot a few pictures of mine while playing around with the phone. Mind you, it was an exercise program needing to jump all over the place just to test how good the feature really was.

Exercise program for Drama Shot

A good sample shot from one of the ambassadors

As for the Sound and Shot feature, me and Summer decided to take each other's shots and then comment into it. Too bad I wasn't able to catch the sound part that came together with the shot. Though I would imagine this feature to be a great one especially for keeping memories of travelers traveling to different parts of the world catching wonderful sound with beautiful pictures too. I seem to also believed that having sound together with the pictures, it seem to make the pictures more lively and not just something plain to look at.

As for the Dual Camera, I should believed that the pictures can say much for itself. Its like having 2 cameras working at the same time. the smaller frame will normally represent the secondary camera, while the whole picture will be for the primary camera to capture its shots. I would really so love to have this particular feature integrated into my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The frame that covers the side of the mini pictures that have taken thru the secondary camera can be changed to different designs too.

There is the heart shape design, fading circular design, fish eye design, and i think side by side design, and a few others. This feature makes it easier to get a full view of what needs to be taken as well as placing the photographer within the frame of the picture. I wonder what can be anymore better than having such a handy feature in various situations such as traveling, or any shots that the photographer wants to be part of as well such as gatherings, outings, or being part of a family portrait. There are other creative methods of using this feature too.

Group Play gives a whole new definition to the term sharing the smart phone world. This feature enables its user to have a very rare style of sharing information, and media such as music, games and pictures. So far I have not found any style of sharing in the market enabling the user to connect wireless to other devices and being able to synchronize the devices to either have a slide show for pictures or being able to play songs at the same time. Group Play also enables the users to have 2 or more devices being enabled to challenge one another in multi player games making it so much exciting, and it is done wirelessly.

We finally ended the whole thing by doing a small commentaries by both me and Summer. I took a few times trying to sound natural in my words and I finally did it. Not too perfect like some advertisers on TV but it should do for now being a newbie at this.

So after covering every part of the features that were key parts of the phone. Summer and I narrowed down our discovery to other features that are pretty new in the market and also an exciting feature to behold. They are known as Air Gesture and Air View. There are some demos that I could share thru the pictures that I have about this features. Hopefully you guys get to understand better what is this all about :)
Air view (pictures popping out in gallery with finger hovering above the phone)

Message preview pops up with finger hovering above it (air view activated)

An overall summary is that I personally felt that I wouldn't get to enjoy all this benefits, being in front of the camera and getting to play around with gadgets, traveling and doing stuff people rarely do. It gets possible by being a Samsung Mobiler and I am very glad that I am one right now. I can't speculate how much more I would get to participate in the future. I am really excited and this is only the BEGINNING! :D

Galaxy S4 featuring Jurassic Park 4 (3D)

I know that there are many great movies that have either been screened earlier this year, or movies to be screening in the later part of this year.

One of the uprising movies that seem to have rise from the ashes seem to be none other than Jurassic Park 4 (3D). Being a remake of the last Jurassic Park movie makes it a great come back since it was done using 3D settings, giving a sense of thrill and excitement to the movie.

It was similar to the recent launched of the Galaxy S4, that was a flagship of Samsung at point of time, which was formerly from Galaxy S3.

The only similarity that I could see in both events is that both turned out to be the fourth installment of its kind. Both the phone and movie has a deep sense of surprise and is uniquely designed to give the user an out of this world experience in the latest form of technology and entertainment that it has to offer. Galaxy S4 has its unique gimmicks and live up to its tagline "LIFE COMPANION" and Jurassic Park 4 being remake into its 3D form gives a sense of suspense to it.

I am personally very excited to catch Jurassic Park 4, as much as I was excited to be part of the country's first Galaxy S4 launched here in Malaysia back then.

Right now, I could just imagine the image of a dinosaur coming out of the screen, that's how excited I really am, and giant reptiles running across the field through the faces of amazed audience in the cinema!

I hope to be able to catch that imagination and truly enjoy the magic of dinosaurs coming to life on screen. It's gonna be like what people say MOVIE MAGIC!

Exciting updates for Galaxy S3 in June !!

It looks like the Samsung is rolling out updates for one of their high end phones, which is none other than Galaxy S3

I actually found out about the upcoming update for the phone via one of the websites:

So it still classifies as a leaked though I am very excited to say it doesn't matter since anything that comes out as a leak tend to be true. Worse case scenario, it may just be as close as possible to the real deal.

So as I was saying, Galaxy S3 will be given an update of Android 4.2.2 and most of the features in it is similar to the features that we are familiar with in the recent Samsung flagship, Galaxy S4

Features such as multiple widgets on the lock screen will be available to the upcoming Galaxy S3 update.  The light effect on the lock screen of the phone will also be available to Galaxy S3 in addition to a better improved ripple effect that the Galaxy S3 is currently available with: ripple effect

I was personally looking forward to the update for the camera, which is on the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 has a very interesting add on feature which is the dual camera feature which can take picture from the photographer's point of view as well as the object that it is supposed to take. I guess I will still have to look forward to the next update for the phone then.

There are many other features that the update has included, but I will just list it down, since it doesn't really catch my interest, besides the extra features that I have explained earlier

- Android 4.2.2 – Build ID: JDQ39
- New S4 Lockscreen: Multiple Widgets, two Unlock effects (Ripple and Light), improved ripple effect than Android 4.1.2, ability to change clock size and set a personal message- New Screen modes (From S4): Adapt Display and Professional Photo- Daydream- Driving mode- Actionable notifications- New Additions in Notification Center- Completely revamped Settings UI (Tabbed interface – Exactly like the S4)- Addition of Voice controls (Let’s you control various parts of the phone using voice commands – Galaxy S4 feature)- Gallery modes have white background (When changing gallery modes to 3D the background changes to white)- Full screen Samsung apps- New S-Voice (from S4)- New smart switch widget

This video might help to give the read a clearer picture of what I have explained in my post earlier :)

What was S4 about in my HEAD?

While having some ice cream not while ago, my mind suddenly started boggling with different things I wanted to talk about Galaxy S4. Many people first question to me when they first heard of me attending the launched was 'Did u get a new phone?'

I was 'no, i did not'. I mean y would I of all people to be given a new phone such as Galaxy S4. I already own S3 once upon a time and I am right now holding a note 2. So I bet its more than enough for me to tell as much as I did like to about this phone that's sooooo hot in the market right now, the flagship of the ter-awesome sangat Samsung Galaxy S4. Yes I do not deny that I was really excited when I first saw the phone, its specs and the promo for it and the list goes on. It looked so huge (something that I favor for a tablet or phone nowadays) and it makes my eyes sparkle the more I looked at it (no kidding).

When I talk about it, to be honest, I can't hold myself in a chair and like go gaga over it. It's practically just isn't normal for me unless it really gives me that deep sense of interest for such a gadget.

I got selected for the launched by MYC under the mobilers group and somehow when I got to see the real thing, I was like 'erm, it looks small' in my thoughts (that's becoz I hold a note 2).

But I would say I admired the phone so much bcoz of the extra features that it has in its software. I heard rumours that those features may be updated into S3 and Note 2. This got me pretty excited.

So as to share what in the world does this phone has that I admired soooo much, I wish it that I have it in my phone so badly though rumour said that it will only be out in May/June and let's hope that it's true. T_T

I won't sharing every single features that is new on the phone. So yea, ,my information ain't that complete after all.

first thing first, what I delighted so much is one of the camera features. It is known as the DUAL-CAMERA. Dual camera allows the person who is taking pictures to be part of the group as well. It may not seem realistic when being part of the group picture, but it allows the user to be remembered when it comes to bringing back memories thru the pictures that have been taken. Such examples I can use is the one that came from the first demo where S4 was launched down at New York. A dad has always been the one that took the pictures of the mom and the children and never really been part of the family photos that have been up on the walls at home. It felt like such a shame to not have daddy there. S4 makes it possible that daddy could be in those pictures when mommy and ah boy/girl is making a memorable statement.

What I love about S Translator was becoz of the multicultural and multi language country where I lived in. And it is not easy to actually get to learn that many languages as easily due to our interest and also the capacity of our minds. S Translator that connects from the Google database makes it so much easier to actually connect with people not only in my country based on my perspective, but as you are traveling, you meet people too all over the world who has different languages that u may want to connect with due to certain reasons but wasn't able to carry it out or technically just having a difficult time conversing to get details of needs at that point of time.

There's also the Smart Pause that goes for videos esp when someone needs to look away from the phone when he or she is watching a video as often without needing to press the pause button. The camera that is on the front of the phone will detect the face of the user as the user's face moves in and out of looking at the screen while watching his/her videos.

Group Play that was promoted had quite an interesting style of having fun as a group of 2 or more people esp those who owns an S3, Note 2 or a S4. Group play isn't something new in the market already, rather it was juz enhanced to be used on a higher platform, instead of just sharing medias such as videos, songs and pictures or documents of any kind. Group Play now has the ability to share speakers to play the same song, making that song an amplification over a number of phones that it is played on. Another way of having fun is having group competitions. One of which is the car racing games. I bet a lot of guys will find it at its convenience whenever they are up for a game among the dudes or dudets. :D

Air View/Air Gesture is an interesting change of lifestyle when it comes to phones. Although it's not new to the Note 2. But there are features like changing songs or just changing medias with a swipe of a hand. It just looks cool doing that and of course if it is as efficient as it is promoted, it could be a really handy feature for many of us out there. Especially when we r really crazy about just touching air and moving things into position. I really wonder how cool is that to do so. As for a Note 2, it is still limited to using a S Pen to do the cool tricks that S4 can do.

I wouldn't say there's much changes that I should be envy about when I see a S4 user.

But then again it is new and it always looks good when someone else holds the phone, not u! :D

p.s. I wouldn't deny that LTE version of S4 is gonna be a hit in the market, many are asking about it, I would advise those who are planning to get a S4 to be wise in their decisions :)

Samsung Mobilers App Launched BIG!!! Galaxy S4 incoming too!

Speaking of the excitement that looked in my heart awaiting the day that we will be invited for the launched. What caught me by surprised that night was more than just the app launched but it was the presence of most of the mobilers that I may have met during the booth camp itself.

Besides the usual buds that we normally meet during the last few gatherings, i have gotten to know many others. Names  as Rezza, Fatin, Joyce, and were the few that I have gotten to talk to personally at one of the tables when I first arrived at Frontera, a Mexican cuisine spot.

We had Loco and Jason Ko in the house that evening to serve as our creative and entertaining MCs.

There were few questions that kept me pondering when Jason Ko, our chief editor of MYC magazine laid on the table.

What is passion? What's the root word of it?

What is mobilers?

The word passion has many meanings of its own, one of which Jason chose to present was something that we have a strong desire for and it is something SUFFERED for. Noticed the word being capitalized, it was the word that he used very often during the presentation that evening.

As for mobilers, the tag line is as plain as it can get, though it stands out so well when it is presented, people in our generation wants to be seen, hear and be noticed.

"See it, Share it and Become famous"

As explained by Jason, Samsung Mobilers serves as a platform to share one's passions and a story to tell by everyone and anyone. He then shared his story of how he was interested in many things, one of the few was photography (very much into children due to difficulty level in photo taking), riding large motor cycles, and flying planes.

I loved how the pictures were arranged in such a way that it brought out a rough idea of his interest, it was done in such a way that his picture told a story of him, of his family and an overall view of his interest. Most of the pictures taken were from either Canada, or New York.

Dinner was swelled, Mexican cuisine on the house. It had that sourish feeling that hits your taste buds whenever you grab that bite, ate only a small portion due to dinner not being heavy and just food tasting for the night

Didn't get to go for the food early or even get any videos or pictures around after the presentation was done, was so hooked to the computer due to slow connection, reason : wanted to register as a mobiler online, one of the most exciting moments of the night, could barely sit in my chair when the presentation was carried out.

Thru the videos that were presented, i saw a number of familiar faces from uni and also from church, all of which are youths from different universities that I recognized. I also recognized the famous magician that night Zlwin Chew in one of the covers of MYC, it was just so cool getting to be part of this launched.

There were announcements about the Galaxy S4 competition and therefore some of these lucky ones will be given an opportunity to be part of this once in a lifetime launched!

After the presentation, there were challenges going around to win 20 GSC movie tickets, 10 Samsung Mobilers exclusive tee and 1 brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The highlights of the night were "Mother Father Gentlemen" dance and Gwiyomi.

They were really crazy challenges but fun to witness, wish I could have been there to snap a few shots and maybe recorded it. It was quite a waste not to have done so.

Finally the later part of the night came, where I got to wrap things up by interacting, talking to Jason and Summer there before I went home for the night. Talking to Jason was a privilege opportunity for me, wanting to make myself known as well as making a connection with him was just delightful.

Jason either joking or for real asked me to walk summer to her car, which I happily obliged, and I think I was glad that I followed her due to very expected encounters, not gonna reveal what happen so no assumptions needed.

Drove home for the night and awaiting my next idea on how should I post up on s4 "creative" post.

Got a number of awesome stuff that night, summary

~Took a picture with awesome Jason Ko, Denise Yu and Summer.
~took back exclusive Samsung Mobilers tee
~made new friends
~getting all excited about everything that has gotta do with it.

I think that wrapped it all up for the night. What do u think? Awesome? I don't know

But what I know things will definitely be a roller coaster ride in this baby!

What's it like to be a TRUE FRIEND?

Have anyone ever thought what is it mean to actually be a friend to another person?

Well, there are 5 ways or more that is learn of to be a good friend to another. There more, no kidding but I will have to focus on the ideas I have at this point of time.

firstly, being Honest!
when I meant being honest, it means that someone shouldn't put on something you called a fake front, generally being a FAKER, it's just not cool being that. Nobody will ever know who you really are down there and it will just make others distant themselves from that kind of person namely YOU. You especially wouldn't want those of your close friends and family members to do something like that since it will hurt you badly unless you don't have feelings. :P

secondly, have SINCERITY as a friend!
hmmm how should I start with?
I guess people will tend to try to understand something that most of the time, they DON'T
so if someone needs a ear, might as well be that ear, and don't be the mouth, or else you might be shut off.
Besides that, people often "helped out" out of guilt, sympathy, or some other reasons that don't associate themselves by being a friend. If you do not want to do it, it's fine, just try to be sincere about it.

thirdly, be forgiving to your friend,
being a friend meant sometimes, we have to expect disappointment because all I can say is that no one is perfect like Jesus is, and people will tend to bring disappointment to us every now and then.
EXPECT TO BE DISAPPOINTED

fourth, learning together with one another
hmmm learning about life purposes with one another, and learn more about each other as friends normally do , because I believed that no one will ever stay the same as he or she is in the present. This goes to the same to BGRs and married couples.

fifth, encourage one another
Have we ever learn to be our friend's best cheerleaders in life?
Never be afraid to support our friends in the decisions that they make. This is not just about being there when they are happy but also being there when they are down. People around us namely friends need our encouragement, as they are also humans and may not be able to to handle their problems on their own.

Anyway, this post was supposed to be up for like a long time already but due to time constraint and I wasn't in the ability to post this up, it sort of dragged on till today.

Being established

What do people meant by being love? How does one be rooted or established? What good can come out of this? What's love really all about?

So much of this questions have been bothering me when I started going thru God's Word more and more everyday. I still m wanting to give my first period of time to God in the morning, even after my final exams have ended. During that time when I just started reading Corinthians 1. I actually learn about things that I have never knew about, questions that were still deep within myself. Probably I might have asked a few times, but being no avai to answers, I put it aside. Never believing that one day will come where I get to access those answers in God's own personal Words from the Bible.

Asking God, how do u love someone? something? It's never been easy, getting into arguments and conflicts when it doesn't need to go there. His word spoke to me what love was all about and one thing really hit me was about longsuffering a.k.a patience. That seem to be one thing I may lacked. People say I don't lack patience, but I lacked it so badly when it comes to petty response or even anything that just come about from my own family.

Love is sacrificial. Not out of emotion. It sure is possible that it starts to buds out of emotion, but what make it really last is the nature of it in the lifestyle that we live in. Putting others first, something that the world will never do. It has always been "ME FIRST" no matter how subtle it may have been. But my God said to be the first is to be the last. So to love meaning putting urself last in line, when it comes to giving and sometimes receiving. All this could just depend on the situation we may put ourselves in.

Today, as I attend Kingdom City at PJ, the sermon was about CONNECT. I was hooked to the word when the Scriptures were out. It was being rooted and established in love. What seem to be the benefit out of this? To be honest, I don't know.

Turns out it ended with "that we may have power "

When they place the word "power" it starts to get me thinking. Having the ability to be powerful, to be in power to bring about blessing and benefit to this broken and hurting world by just having a simple connection with God. By just being "connected"

We are made to connect with one another.

I have yet to figure out more of the word "Love".

p.s. its definitely not romance, what I am looking for but a way to serve His people with love and respect :)

Exam Syndrome

It's a vicious cycle of business to boredom..

It has always been like that ever since I set foot at UNITEN. Being an engineering student always have a very heavy downside when you are going thru that particular period of a student, be it the time of assessments, assignments, exams etc or even just taking a rest from the semester.

Can't say I looked forward to the aftermath of exams either. Well, there's much planning going on after finals but after going thru that much experience of boredom over and over and over again. I think I rather just appreciate where I am right now. At least I get to experience it with a good attitude and embrace the value of the days I have ahead of me.

Having my first paper in a week doesn't help me stay cool about my situation. At least the sense of urgency is already there. Just have to pick up the pace in my studying style and technique.

One obvious method that I just had the courage to pick up is making my computer go 'proof' while I revised my work. It was never easy staying away from my computer but when u r in the a midst of working, the wonders of being really into it just keep you going on and on provided there's nothing else in your mind that wants to take a rest ;)

Trial of endurance have to be overcome and excel in for the next 2 and half weeks. I am sure I can do it with God's help. Much more will be coming into the timeline up ahead after this finals. Wishing all my friends who are also in this period of examination ALL THE BEST.

Right now back to the books after seem to be a long time of being on the computer... To be exact an hour have passed since I hogged in this baby of mine :D

Dancing Workshop

I have always had this thought that dancing was the expression of the soul, how one feels or expresses from within outwards. Probably for some people, those thoughts can't come out as the thoughts that was visualized in the mind. Due to that, dancing technique that's portrayed comes out in a very disorderly manner. For example me, I tend to dance to my own to express myself when I am in the room alone, where no one sees me do so. But deep down I wanna do all those popping and like extravagant moves that can impress people too besides my personal time dancing wildly.

Many style of dancing out there, some suit, some don't. Went for a workshop today, out of the few dances that was available for learning for FREE, I picked 2 dances out of 4. Guess it was pretty obvious what I will choose if anyone would have looked at the types of dances being offered on the board. I picked Latin and Free styling. It was kinda fun if only I wouldn't have been so self conscious about my appearance of how I looked while dancing to the music (won't mention what was actually bothering me in my self conscious).

I did enjoy the Latin dance a lot though, only hope for more time...since being away from home for the weekend doesn't help making "attending classes" any easier.

As for now, can only look forward to finishing up this semester with BOMB in a good way.

Kit Kat Musical SHOCKWAVESSSS

That's right folks, the 1st Ever Youth Street Music Festival !!

Street Music do not seem very popular in this part of the world a.k.a Malaysia. So due to that, MYC wanted to be able to provide a platform and an opportunity to hone the many talents among the young people of Malaysia. One of it was giving them an opportunity to engage in music, dance, and generally in the showbiz industry.
the floor where the audience are

A competition was held quite a while back for the students of the local colleges and universities. So thru this event, 11 bands were selected to be of the top finalists and were part of this glamorous night tonight here at Jaya 1. Different style of playing that range from the most common musical instruments such as drums, guitar, keyboard up till the most creative type of sound producing instruments (percussion) were heard tonight. Different groups have different forms of attracting the audience, never once there was a dull moment during the competition.

Taylor's college music band

The audience tonight were really into the music that was performed on stage by every group there was. It was a lively scene to behold. I could see people dancing to some songs, or just being themselves expressing themselves thru minimum movements following the flow of the music. Some were moving around violently, jumping but I guess they too were into the songs that were played.

The deco that night featured a Christmas decoration, you could see snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, Santa Claus hanging from a pine tree branch, and many other colorful ornaments, with stage lights that were of different color bringing out the appearance of the stage giving the crowd and people around with a sense of excitement and suspense to see what's next.

The Mob!lers that night got to enjoy the food as well, pretty much sponsored by our host, MYC themselves. Very thankful for the meal that we get to taste. I personally never tasted food that's from Starbucks so tonight was my first and I am grateful for that. I got to try the Banana Chocolate cake, Chic O cheese, and a Peppermint Mocha Frappucino. The Banana cake has a rough texture on one side of it while I would say the overall has a soft appeal to my taste buds, while the Chic O cheese which consist of a puff together with a sausage wrap in between. It was a really enjoyable meal that I had, apart from the noisy background that we were in a.k.a the competition that was going on at that point (can't blame it on them since we wanted to review the event, so we had to choose a suitable spot to do so).

Apart from the bands that competed tonight at the event, there were other sides events that caught the attention of the crowd. Such were fire eating man, spontaneous dancing competition (participants from the crowd) and a rhythmic clapping competition also from the crowd. The crowd was a very spotting one as they were able to participate in those events really well, and in much enthusiasm.

I personally got involved in the dancing competition. The participants were given a song that they have to dance to, there were 3 girls and 3 guys. The MC hinted us that this was the most popular song at that point of time in the world, 890 million viewers and guess what? It was just cliches Gangnam Style. I wasn't ready to show off moves for it since I did not get into that Gangnam fever that was going at that time, so in other words I wasn't very interested to learn how to dance like someone who is riding on a horse. Anyway it turned out fun for me, although I didn't score much on the cheering part that comes from the audience.

So overall, being part of this event has been fun just listening and observing, at the same time enjoying much of the performance that was held that night. The food and and experience were great too. Priceless.

What's With Apps?

Truth be told, I was never really that interested to see all the types of apps in this world for the smartphone. Like no kidding, there are so many of the same kind of apps that make it so hard to decide which is the best to be used.

Not to mention that I have that perspective that apps of a phone were just toys in a phone. Something that people could play around with, without any real purpose or reason as to why they are created other than the thought of using it to fool around or just to kill time. Believe me, I didn't give much thought as to how an app was born out of creativity besides all that mumbo jumbo coding, programmings, flow charts, and algorithms that could have been involved to create it. The thought of all those things that pertained to computer codes tend to switch off the button that's on me.

I would say after attending this event, Samsung Appstar 2012. I gained a new perspective of what it was like for those to have come up with ideas for new apps. Although I have not been following up on the progress of those app creators for the last 5 months, but I am sure I start to understand that creating an app is not by sitting in front of a computer or even being isolated away from the world just to generate and bring forth a new idea.

Ideas of new apps in this ever evolving world of tech comes from our everyday lives. It seem fairly true that people are just getting very dependent on their gadgets, or their heads could have been too occupied up to the point of not being able to pay attention to certain chores that maybe insignificant but rather devastating if not being attended carefully. For example, locking up the car before leaving it, or even paying up utility bills monthly.

Due to all this forms of carelessness, new ideas have to be formed to BE that solution to the problem that is at hand. All that was presented at the event today by the contestants was not something new to them, rather familiar and closed to the heart of the creator (app creator). May I emphasized the "closed to the heart" phase.  This is because it is something that we face everyday that is a challenge. All this apps and ideas that were brought forth are ideas that could help the community live a better lifestyle without wasting too much time, or even getting certain things done right, or being protected in a very practical way in our everyday lives.

(Hint: those were the ones that winners for the Samsung Appstar 2012)

To wrap it up, I will start to look around for solutions that could be a lifestyle changing experience, and therefore I encourage that others should not take apps for granted, and ermmm.. contribute in anyway you can that you may play a role in the community in this modern era. I mean like seriously, there's so much that needed attention and a solution to it. Make A World A Better Place to be In.

Invitation to Samsung Mob!lers Bootcamp - Part 2

So as to continue~~

When MYC called me on Tuesday evening, I was actually in the middle of preparing for my mid term examination of a certain subject. I was actually excited about something else; I got my placement for internship at Shah Alam, which was really closed to home, a particular event that will have guaranteed a car for the next 3 months, not to mention a happy father due to the fact that his wish, and my indirect obedience to him actually came true.

So MYC calling me to inform me about this event actually brings up more excitement and anxiety within me. It was bothering me for a while since I did not know what event was this and what should I expect out of it, due to short term memory of that event that I participated so long ago. I couldn't give it much thought if I would go since I had to focus for that evening, ok I did badly as to conclude what happen during the test.

Due to indecisiveness, Ms Dennis gave me a day to make up my mind whether or not I would come for the event. That was really kind of her to do so. Some will have given it over to someone else. I must say it again this is a really precious and once in a lifetime opportunity for me to be involved in.

After a day of consideration (frankly speaking, did not even think about it, cause I barely knew what was the event about), Ms Dennis called me again to confirm my attendance for that day. I have to ask again and delay my confirmation to the next one hour. Since the decisions and finalization were supposed to be done on that day at 5 pm, I was only given that miserable one hour to decide the course of my life. I did have another event coming on that day, so I had to decide, not to mention bring another (few) friend on that day to the event will be another priority of mine.

Coincidentally, that one hour turned out to be one of my class hours. I was pretty much disturbed during class just thinking about who to call, and how to convince those who I planned to call. Finally decided that Dinesh should come with me, not because I decided he should but he was willing to accompany me there. I was glad that I call him along for the ride.

But seriously since MYC actually mentioned at least 2 friends, I was practically going nuts. All sorts of excuses came, tests, girlfriend, church, erm...and the list goes on. Some even mentioned "u want me to be a scapegoat is it?". That guy who said that, I think it's his lost for not coming, but then again not many will have wanted to be a writer, or anything gotta do with expressing themselves online.

So the day finally came, I did not expect anything, whether it would have been exciting or not (maybe I did but not something nice to have expect). Went down to fetch Dinesh and went for the event, good thing dad offered to fetch me there, although I did like to have drive there on my own. Reached there at 10 am. We were actually trying to decide where we needed to stop so that we could reach the event site. A map was offered together with the invitation (email) that came with it. Good thing I forwarded the email to Dinesh, or we might never have been able to reach our destination.

At the point of walking in and registering for our attendance,

to be continue~~
